You know, I keep telling myself that someday I'll get my act together. Someday I'll get this blogging thing down. Someday I'll figure out how to post regularly. Someday I'll come up with a system of getting all the blogs I *want* to read read. Just wish someday would freakin' arrive already.
In the meantime, would you do me a favor? Tell me about something that made you smile this weekend. (Yes, I'm greedy--because I know all your smiles will certainly give me smiles of my own.)
Something that made me smile: Ambrose wearing the wizard hat Jason made him for his birthday. That and the fact that my little guy turns 8 today.
ReplyDeleteFlushing my new toilet...
ReplyDeleteAmanda,
ReplyDeleteI trust there will be photos posted, right? Wish Ambrose a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY for me!
Rich,
...and having it actually work, right?
...or someday you'll stop being so hard on yourself when it comes to being on top of things, blogging regularly, etc. One can hope, right? ;)
ReplyDeleteSomething that made me happy this weekend: FINALLY watching Coraline the movie and loving it :D
Ana,
ReplyDeleteSQUEEEEE!!! Isn't it just delightful?!! :D
It is, though I disliked the scene in which the makes a muddle of things when trying to get rid of the key and the Other Mother's hand and the motorcycle boy saves her :S It's not just that she required saving; it's that the scene makes her seem a lot less smart and in control than she is for most of the book, which is a pity. In the book she doesn't go to the well by accident - she knows exactly what she's doing. In the movie, she's clueless, which is a pity. The Coraline I love is cleverer than that! Anyway, that's a small aside, as overall it was made of win :D [/rant]

ReplyDelete"for most of the book" = for most of the MOVIE

Stop stop stop saying you suck :p My good thing for the weekend! Lets see...I had a wonderful massage yesterday that left me with NO HEADACHES today :D I woke up to tropical storm weather this morning which I absolutely love!! It's rare I get to actually witness nature's beauty like that. I finished TWO books this weekend after going so long without finishing anything!! Yes, I finished Unwind too :D Ummm...and I got to play in my garden :)
ReplyDeleteAna,
ReplyDeleteI agree with you completely! Book Coraline is actually one of my favorite characters period...I just adore her for her cleverness (and envy her because she's ever so much braver than I am).
Chris,
You having a day without a migraine makes the top of my "things to smile about" list. Without question!
Something that made me smile. MMMM - having you back in the blogging world. I now have a huge grin on my face!
ReplyDeleteVivienne,
ReplyDeleteYou're too sweet!!! Now guess who has the smile on her face--yep, me!!! :D
Seeing and petting a baby lynx, a baby wallaby and a hedgehog all before we even dropped Bryn off at her cabin at camp! Leaving my animal-loving kid in such an animal filled world made me smile!
ReplyDeleteAnd as far as I know, there aren't any rules about regularly blogging, so I think you really need to give yourself a pass on this one!
Also, don't know if you got my email, but do you want Incarceron? And thanks for the books - what a nice Christmas in July! :)
Kara,
ReplyDeleteNow those are definitely some smile-worthy moments!!! :D
Probably seeing Ambrose building his new lego kit, which isn't nearly as interesting as some of these but did make me smile :).
ReplyDeleteAnd:Ms Debi, Ms Nymeth - really? The Coraline movie scared the jeebies out of me. Other Mother was too close, creeped me out,,,
I have the same struggle with blogging that you have.
ReplyDeleteBut...my smile this week...I was watching my grandchildren and Mackenzie sat on my lap, snuggling with me and looking into my eyes with such love. It was very sweet and I just overflowed with love for her!
take care,
Dawn
